Community Program for Opioid Pharmacotherapy (CPOP)

Training for Community Program for Opioid Pharmacotherapy (CPOP) service providers involved in the provision of methadone and buprenorphine treatment in WA for people dependent on opioids is coordinated through the Community Pharmacotherapy Program (CPP).

CPP provides training and support for:

  • Medical practitioners (including General Practitioners) to become authorised to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine in WA 
  • Community pharmacists working in pharmacies dispensing methadone and buprenorphine in WA
  • Medical practice and pharmacy staff working in services that are involved in the program.

CPOP training and education is provided face-to-face or online and can also be developed to meet the specific needs of CPOP service providers.

Access to online CPOP training courses is available here.  Please note that some courses are only available by formal registration through the CPP Coordinator of Provider Support.
