Western Australian Eating Disorders Framework 2025-2030

The Mental Health Commission is leading the development of a new Western Australian Eating Disorders Framework 2025-2030 (Framework).

The Framework will identify immediate priority areas over the next five years in order to ensure there is appropriate service delivery across the continuum of prevention, early intervention, treatment and support services to address eating disorders in Western Australia.

The Framework will align with the National Eating Disorders Strategy 2023-2033, and will be a supporting document of the Western Australian Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Strategy 2025-2030, which is due for release in late 2024.

In developing the Framework, the Commission will collaborate with a range of government and non-government agencies, clinicians, GPs and other key stakeholders, including people with a lived experience of eating disorders, their families and carers.

The Commission will release the draft Framework for consultation.
